Our Mission & Vision
“Mt. Tabor Seventh-day Adventist Church is a house of prayer where forever friendships with Christ are created by reaching out to people, embracing them with love, and lifting them to God in prayer, in discipleship, and in witness.”
We realize that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Leadership Team:

Doug Schippmann, Head Elder
Richard Wynne, Head Deacon
Rich’s role is to lead the church in a way that matches the character of God through service to others. Rich is eager to reach out to our church members and those in the community who may need our help. Rich has a desire to bring his passion for music and worship to those lives he touches while being a steward of God.
Polly Johnson, Director Discoveryland Child Care Center
Polly is the director of our on-site child care development center. She and her staff have opened their doors to the surrounding Mt. Tabor community to provide loving care and education for 25 years. Discoveryland provides care for infants through preschool ages. Discoveryland is a bright beacon of hope and encouragement in our community.
What we believe:
Adventist Beliefs: As a Christian church, Seventh-day Adventists are a faith community rooted in the beliefs described by the Holy Scriptures. Fundamental Beliefs: Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. These beliefs, as set forth here, constitute the church’s understanding and expression of the teaching of Holy Scripture.
