Our Mission & Vision

“Mt. Tabor Seventh-day Adventist Church is a house of prayer where forever friendships with Christ are created by reaching out to people, embracing them with love, and lifting them to God in prayer, in discipleship, and in witness.”

We realize that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team is dedicated to the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Our mission is to serve our community, not only through our words, but through our actions. Our ministries are focused on meeting the needs of the residents of the Mt. Tabor Community and the surrounding areas.
Katelyn Weakley, Pastor
Pastor Katelyn’s ministry can be summarized as the following:
• Love for God and people
• Creating spaces for encountering Christ
• Promoting Spirit-led holistic restoration
• Empowering our church for heart-felt ministry
• Bringing the Gospel to life through relational bridges
Pastor Katelyn and her husband, Ben, are eager to begin their ministry with the Mt. Tabor church family and community. “We have been called to live life to the fullest. And how is that done? Simply by receiving the unabashed and all-consuming love of Christ.” (Pastor Katelyn)

What we believe:

Adventist Beliefs: As a Christian church, Seventh-day Adventists are a faith community rooted in the beliefs described by the Holy Scriptures. Fundamental Beliefs: Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. These beliefs, as set forth here, constitute the church’s understanding and expression of the teaching of Holy Scripture.
