Communion Week Devotionals (Dec 27 – Jan 2)

Welcome to Communion Week!

Beginning Dec. 27, we will be preparing for Communion on Sabbath, January 2. Because of COVID, Mt. Tabor SDA Church hasn’t been able to celebrate Communion for a whole year! That’s why we want to make sure this time it is special.

Each day this week is a reading and activity that is meant to draw us deeper into the significance of this blessed occasion. Just click on the reading below for each day.

In preparation for Sabbath, we have provided some bread and grape juice, but we also invite you to experience making your own if you’d like. We are providing a recipe and devotional how-to video to guide you in the process.

If you have not received bread or grape juice and would like some, please call into the church office at (503) 233-7606.

On Sabbath morning at 10:45am, you are invited to our Communion service via Zoom or phone. That morning, make sure you have your bread and juice ready. We will not be able to have a marked time for foot washing during the service, but we encourage your household to partake in this experience prior to or after the worship service.

We look forward to journeying through Communion Week with you! May it be a true blessing for you and your household.
